What soil and dirt we remove

Most jobs are excavated material, clean fill or mixed spoil from residential construction sites and landscaping jobs.

Common waste types we can take include:

  • Excavated soil and dirt from footings, trenching, pier holes, and pool digs
  • Topsoil, clay, sand, and fill
  • Turf cuttings and yard grading spoil
  • Excess soil from levelling, reshaping, and landscaping work
  • Mixed soil with small amounts of roots or small rocks
  • Trenching and footing spoil and leftovers

If you are unsure what category your load falls into, send a photo and we will confirm before quoting.

How Soil Removal Works

  • Send a photo, location, and what the material is.
  • We confirm if it is soil only or mixed spoil, and what disposal category it fits.
  • We confirm access and the right truck setup for the site.
  • We arrive with the Bobcat, load it out, and remove it by tipper.
  • Tip fees are handled at the appropriate facility. We can provide weighbridge dockets on request.
  • We leave the load-out area tidy and ready for the next step.

Soil and Dirt Removal FAQs

Common questions about getting rid of soil and dirt waste removal. Answered properly.

What are your minimum charges for soil removal?

Minimums include the Bobcat with operator, a tipper truck, and soil disposal by weight. Send a photo and we will confirm the correct category and the minimum that applies.

Do you charge per tonne for soil removal?

Disposal is usually charged by weight. Soil only is typically priced per tonne. Mixed spoil can cost more depending on the disposal category.

How much does soil weigh per cubic metre?

Most soil sits around 1.2 to 1.4 tonnes per cubic metre. Wet clay or compacted spoil can be heavier. If you tell us what it is and whether it’s wet, we can estimate pretty closely.

Do you just load, or do you take it away too?

We do both. We load with the Bobcat and organise the haulage, whether that’s a small tipper or larger trucks for bulk jobs.

Can you handle large excavation spoil?

Yes. For larger volumes, we coordinate bogie trucks to move bulk soil efficiently.

Is an operator included?

Yes. All our soil removal services includes an experienced operator. We do not offer dry hire.

Do you offer fixed-price quotes?

If the scope is clear, we’re happy to quote soil removal as a lump sum.

Can you remove wet soil after rain?

Yes, but wet soil weighs more and can change disposal cost and loading time. We will flag that upfront when quoting.

What is soil disposal vs soil removal?

Soil disposal refers to transporting and legally disposing of soil at licensed facilities, while soil removal covers the entire process from excavation, machine loading, haulage, and clean-up. This distinction helps you choose the right service for your job.

Can I reuse the soil you remove?

Yes, depending on soil type and condition. Clean soil removed from levelling or landscaping can be reused on site for garden fill or other purposes, we can discuss options before quoting.

How much does soil removal cost in Sydney?

Soil removal costs are calculated based on three factors: the machine hourly rate (Bobcat + Operator), the transport (Tipper hire), and the disposal weighbridge fees. Clean fill (VENM) is the most cost-effective, while mixed spoil or wet clay increases the weight and the tipping price. Call Danny for a fixed-price estimate based on a photo of your pile.
