Bobcat and Tipper Hire Sydney

Bobcat Loading and Tipper Haul-Away

Need material loaded and moved off site without organising separate contractors? We supply our Bobcat with an experienced operator and coordinate the tipper truck as one job for site clean-ups, load-outs and removal work where the setup suits the access, material and scope.

Straightforward jobs can often be discussed over the phone.
Bigger or trickier sites may need a quick look first.

Why Book Them Together?

When a job needs both mechanical loading and transport, organising the Bobcat and tipper together can make the whole process easier to manage.

The Bobcat handles the loading while the tipper handles the transport or removal side of the job. Instead of trying to line up a machine operator and a separate truck contractor, the setup is coordinated as one job.

That can make a real difference on jobs where the truck needs to be loaded several times, material needs to be moved efficiently or repeated tip runs are required.

It also gives you one point of contact for the loading and truck movements, rather than trying to coordinate different contractors around each other.

The exact setup depends on the job, but the aim is simple: get the material loaded, get the truck moving and keep the job progressing without unnecessary downtime.

When This Setup Makes Sense

Bobcat and tipper hire is best suited to jobs where material needs to be mechanically loaded and then transported, tipped or removed.

It may suit jobs involving:

  • Stockpiled soil, dirt or excavation material
  • Concrete, broken slabs and rubble
  • Construction rubbish and site waste
  • General site clean-ups
  • Material that is too slow or impractical to load by hand
  • Jobs requiring more than one truck load or tip run
  • Load-outs where the machine and truck movements need to work together
  • Not every job needs both machines.

If the material can be loaded by hand or the truck is only required for transport, the Bobcat may not be necessary. On the other hand, larger or heavier stockpiles can quickly become inefficient to load without machinery.

We look at the material, amount, access and scope before working out the most practical setup.

How the Setup Works

The Bobcat and tipper are coordinated around the job rather than treated as two completely separate hires.

Once the site and material have been assessed, the Bobcat is positioned to load while the tipper is set up in a suitable location for access and truck movements.

Our general process is:

  • Assess the material, access and job requirements
  • Position the Bobcat and tipper where the site allows
  • Load the material mechanically with the Bobcat
  • Transport or dispose of the load as required
  • Repeat the loading and tip runs where the job requires it

Our Bobcat skid steer is supplied with an operator on every job. There is no dry hire.

For more information about the individual machine, attachments and the types of work it is suited to, see our Bobcat Skid Steer equipment page.

The tipper truck handles the transport side of the setup and can be coordinated with the Bobcat throughout the job.

What Can We Load and Move?

The combined setup can be used across a range of jobs, but the best approach depends on the material and what needs to happen with it once it is loaded.

Soil, Dirt and Earth

For jobs involving stockpiled soil, dirt, clay or excavation spoil, the Bobcat can load the material into the tipper for removal where the site and material are suitable. If your job is specifically about clearing excavation material, our dedicated soil removal Sydney service covers that process in more detail.

Concrete and Rubble

Broken concrete, demolition rubble and similar material may also be loaded and removed using the Bobcat and tipper setup depending on the size of the material, access and job conditions.

For concrete-specific work, including driveway, slab and rubble removal, see our concrete removal Sydney service.

Construction Trade Rubbish

The setup may also suit construction clean-ups where loose site waste, demolition material or general rubbish needs to be mechanically loaded and taken away.

For jobs mainly focused on clearing site waste, our rubbish removal Sydney service explains the options in more detail.

General Load-Outs

Some jobs do not fit neatly into one material category.

You may simply have a pile of material that needs to be loaded quickly, moved off site or transported as part of a larger clean-up.

In those cases, we can look at the material and site conditions and work out whether the Bobcat and tipper combination makes sense.

How the Combo Is Priced

Bobcat and tipper jobs can be charged using the standard hire rates or quoted as a fixed-price job where the scope is clear upfront.

Bobcat Hire

The minimum Bobcat charge is $660 including GST and float for up to 4 hours on site.

Additional time is charged at $88 per hour.

A full 8-hour day of Bobcat and operator hire is $1,012 including GST.

The float covers transporting the Bobcat to and from the site and is charged once per booking.

4 Tonne Tipper Truck

Tipper truck hire starts from $440 for up to 4 hours.

Additional time is charged at $88 per hour.

Disposal and tip fees are separate because the cost depends on the type and quantity of material being removed.

Hourly or Fixed Price

Some jobs are best charged using the normal hourly hire rates.

For jobs where the scope is clear before work starts, we may also provide a fixed-price or lump-sum quote.

Where a fixed-price job includes material removal and disposal, those costs may be included as part of the overall quoted price.

There is no made-up one-price-fits-all Bobcat and tipper package because every job can be different.

Bobcat and Tipper FAQs

Common questions about getting rid of concrete waste. Answered properly.

Can I hire the Bobcat and tipper together?

Yes. The Bobcat and tipper can be booked together and coordinated as one job where material needs to be mechanically loaded and transported or removed.

Does the Bobcat come with an operator?

Yes. All Bobcat hire includes an experienced operator. We do not offer dry hire.

Are tip fees included in the truck rate?

No. Disposal and tip fees are normally separate because they depend on the material and the amount being removed.

For a fixed-price or lump-sum job, disposal may be included in the overall quoted price.

Can you do more than one tip run?

Yes, where the job requires it.

The number of runs depends on the amount and type of material, truck movements, disposal location and the time required to complete the work.

Can you provide a fixed-price quote?

Yes, where the scope is clear enough to price the complete job upfront.

Other jobs may be better suited to hourly hire where the final time or number of loads cannot be known accurately before starting.

What if the tipper cannot get close to the material?

The Bobcat may still be able to move the material to a suitable loading point depending on the site.

The distance, access and ground conditions can affect how efficiently the job can be completed, so restricted-access jobs are assessed individually.

What information do you need to price the job?

It helps to know:

  • What material needs to be loaded
  • Roughly how much material there is
  • Where the material is located
  • What access is available for the Bobcat
  • Where the tipper can be positioned
  • Whether the material needs to be removed from site

Photos are also useful when assessing access and the amount of material involved.
