Quick Local Jobs from $550 • 20+ Years Experience

What We Do

Most jobs come down to the same thing, something needs to be shifted, cleared or loaded out before the next stage can start. That’s what the bobcat is for. Call Danny, tell us what’s on site, and we’ll get it moving.

Site Preparation

The ground needs to be right before anything else can go in. We level, shape and backfill so the concreters, landscapers or builders coming in behind us have a clean site to work with.

Rubbish Load-Outs

Tipper on site but nothing to load it? The bobcat gets through rubbish removal faster than a crew of labourers and leaves nothing behind.

Soil Removal

Excavated soil piling up or a site that needs reshaping? We load it out or spread it where it needs to go. One machine, one booking, job done.

Concrete Removal

Old slabs, broken concrete and brick rubble slow a job down fast. We break it up, load it out and leave the site clear so the work can keep moving.

Clearing Overgrown Areas

Blocks that haven’t been touched in years, yards buried in growth. We get in and turn it back into usable ground.

Material Handling

Not everything on a site needs to be removed, sometimes it just needs to move. With pallet forks and a tow hitch on the machine, we handle the awkward stuff without extra crew.

What Jobs Is A Bobcat Best For

Bobcat v Man-Power

One machine with an experienced operator gets through in a few hours what a crew of four would take a day to do — and it doesn’t leave the site a mess.

It works best on jobs where material needs to be shifted, loaded or spread in a confined space. Residential blocks, side access, tight driveways, backyards — that’s where a compact machine with the right attachments earns its keep.

It’s not the right tool for deep digging, footings or trenching. For those jobs we can bring in an excavator instead.

Give Danny a call and we’ll tell you straight which machine your job actually needs.

Need More Than a Bobcat?

Sometimes the job needs more than a skid steer. We partner up with trusted contractors who offer additional machines and crew options to keep work moving without juggling multiple contractors.

Tipper Truck Hire

Move material off-site without delays.

Combination Hire

One booking. Bobcat and tipper truck. One crew.

1.7 Tonne Excavator

Ideal for detailed work in tighter areas.

3.5 Tonne Excavator

More reach and power for heavier site work.

Onsite Labourers

Extra hands when machines alone are not enough.

The Machine

At 1.6 metres wide, the bobcat fits through most standard side gates and into tight residential sites without ripping up the garden. It’s a 2.2 tonne machine so it loads heavy, slabs, soil, rubble, without multiple passes. Compact enough to work in confined spaces. Powerful enough to get the job done in a single booking.

Machine Attachments:

The machine comes with the right attachments for most jobs on site.
  • 4-in-1 bucket for clearing, scooping, grading and grabbing
  • Demolition breaker for breaking up concrete slabs and compacted ground
  • Pallet forks for moving materials and equipment around site
  • Tow hitch for towing trailers and site equipment

Bobcat FAQs

Straight answers to common questions about Bobcat hire, pricing, and how the work is handled.

What is a Bobcat or skid steer?

A Bobcat, also known as a skid steer, is a compact earthmoving machine designed for loading, clearing, levelling, and material handling. It is commonly used for site prep, rubbish removal, driveway demo, and soil handling.

What kind of work can a Bobcat handle?

Bobcats are ideal for site preparation, rubbish and rubble removal, soil handling, driveway and slab removal, and clearing overgrown areas. They are suited to both residential and light commercial jobs where efficient progress matters.

Is an operator included?

Yes. All Bobcat hire includes an experienced operator. We do not offer dry hire.

Is Bobcat hire cheaper than labourers?

In many cases, yes. A Bobcat with an operator often finishes work faster than multiple labourers, which can reduce the overall cost of the job.

Is DIY Bobcat hire cheaper?

Not usually once time, transport, learning curve, and risk are factored in. Many customers find a full-day Bobcat hire with an operator delivers better value and faster results.

Do you offer excavator hire as well as Bobcat hire?

Yes. For jobs that need digging, footings, trenching, or heavier demolition, we can supply 1.7 tonne and 3.5 tonne excavators with experienced operators through our trusted partner contractors.

When would I need an excavator instead of a Bobcat?

Bobcats are ideal for loading, clearing, and site prep.
Excavators are better suited to trenching, footings, deeper excavation, and demolition work where reach and precision matter.

If you are unsure which machine is best, we can advise.

Do you provide tipper trucks?

Yes. We can organise tipper truck hire with licensed drivers for soil, rubble, and green waste removal. Tipper trucks are often used alongside the Bobcat for efficient load-out and disposal.

Can you handle excavation and removal in one booking?

Yes. We regularly coordinate Bobcats, excavators, and tipper trucks as a single job so material is dug, loaded, and removed without delays or multiple contractors.

Do you supply labourers as well?

Yes. For jobs that need manual support, we can arrange experienced labourers with tools through our partner network. This is useful for detailed demolition, sorting materials, or tight access areas.

What tools are available for demolition and site work?

Depending on the job, we can organise jack hammers, breakers, and other site tools as part of the booking. This helps keep work moving without separate hire arrangements.

Do you do half-day Bobcat hire?

We do shorter jobs, but most bookings are charged at a full-day rate. This covers transport, setup, and operator availability and allows the job to be done properly in one visit.

Can you quote lump-sum jobs?

Yes. If the scope of work is clear, we are happy to quote projects as a fixed price instead of day-rate hire.

Why is Bobcat hire charged as a day rate?

Bobcat hire involves more than just machine time. Transport, setup, and keeping the operator available all factor in. Day-based pricing keeps costs clear and predictable.

Can you give a price over the phone?

For straightforward jobs, yes.
If the work is larger or more involved, we may suggest a quick site visit so we can price it accurately.

What happens in wet weather?

Some jobs are affected by rain or muddy conditions. If weather is likely to impact the work, we will always discuss this with you upfront.

How do I book Bobcat hire with Pro Haul?

Booking is simple. Just call us and tell us what needs shifting, clearing, or prepping. We will ask a few quick questions and guide you from there.

What happens after I accept the quote?

Once you are happy with the pricing, we lock in a date, turn up with the right gear, and get the work done without mucking around.

Do you service all of Sydney?

We service most of Sydney including the Inner West, Northern Beaches, North Shore, Eastern Suburbs, Western Sydney, Hills District, and Sutherland Shire.
